As the backup photographer, I had the freedom to take more artistic and unusual shots for which this lens was perfect. Most people think that ultra wide-angle lenses like this one is only useful for building and landscape photography but in the right hands, it is capable of stunning shots no matter where you use it. It is just a question of framing everything correctly and position yourself in such a manner that you do cause too much distortion. Believe me, with a lens like this just tilting it up or down can cause a huge shift in the look of your photo. I am definitely having a lot of fun using this camera and so far the results have been very pleasing. It definitely adds that little something extra to all the wedding photos.

Vote and Win a Sony Cybershot! Top Five Finalists Unveiled! « Me Ra ...One of the biggest aspects that I look for in a lens, and which I found in the Tamron 70-200, is the ability to provide a nice smooth background blur or “bokeh” as it is also known. This is something that is quite hard to find in lenses, as some will provide not enough blur, leaving the background looking very busy. With the Tamron set to a longer focal length and larger aperture, I have been getting some great shots that leave my foreground subject looking sharp, while creating a nice, soft blur in the background. This is just one of the great aspects of this particular type of lens. I have seen similar lenses from some of the bigger brand names that could not produce the kind of bokeh that my Tamron is capable of, so it goes to show that you really cannot judge a book by its cover.

An actress whose passion is writing, Tisca Chopra has been on the big and small screen and even on the stage. Interestingly, it is not very easy to find information on this actress at the first internet search. The sites that typically have information on stars do not have any information on her. Tisca Chopra photos are however readily available. Writers are sometimes thought to be introverted people but that is a generalisation. There are a lot of writers who are also motivational speakers or in any other sort of profession. Almost anyone can call themselves a writer even if all they do is journal. They are still writing right? Putting down their thoughts on paper even though they will not be consumed by the general public is still writing. The common expectation of writers is that they will share with the public what they have put down on paper.

It’s the older generation that keeps this whole raw vs jpg argument alive. Come on, its 2011, give up the 8 track players, VCR tapes and JPG images. Raw images are far superior to jpg images in very possible way, in fact, JPG images are always made from raw images. That’s right, all digital cameras start off with a raw image and then it is converted to a jpg internally before it is saved to the memory card. So, every JPG is converted from a raw image. It’s just a matter of who does the processing, you or the camera. Personally, I want that type of control, when they make a camera that sends my raw image to a professional photographer for processing, and then maybe I will change my mind. Although, not likely, why throw away data? It doesn’t make since. Take control of your photography and start using raw images.

The Olympus 14-42mm is an excellent best kit zoom lens. It has superb optical quality at any focal length and aperture. It controls everything perfectly compared with the other kit lenses. One of the most outstanding qualities about this lens is that it is extremely sharp at all focal lengths (this includes the centre sharpness and border sharpness). Surprisingly enough, the Olympus 14-42mm is very cheap and its build quality is great. Distortion control on this lens is excellent. Distortion is visible at 14mm, reduced greatly at 25mm and then becomes negligible at 42mm. On this lens, vignetting control is great. It is apparent only at 14mm (f/3.5) and it can be ignored at other focal length.

Build quality of this lens is very good. Its make is based on very light plastics, which are of high quality. Although plastic materials are used, they are designed by professionals to look descent and attractive. The zoom ring and autofocus ring are very smooth on this lens.
